Teacher Workshop
Fueling the Future: Transportation Pollution & Alternative Fuels

Crooked Creek Environmental Center, 142 Kerr Rd., Ford City, PA  16226

3.5 Act 48 hours available.  Ever wonder how transportation pollution 
affects our lives?  With the help of Steel City Biofuels and funding 
provided by the EPA, this workshop will address environmental and health 
hazards associated with diesel and gasoline powered motor vehicles.  Will 
include alternative fuels such as biodiesel , idling regulations, GASP air 
monitors, discussion on carpooling and other strategies for reducing the 
impact from motor vehicles

Rachel Carson Homestead presents: Rachel Carson Spirit & Nature Conference

The Rachel Carson Homestead Association (RCHA) brings to Pittsburgh current 
national and international dialogue on faith, global warming and earth 
stewardship.  A multi-faith panel will discuss world religions' earth 
stewardship teachings and Rachel Carson's environmental ethic.

Cost $25 Adults, $10 College Students
