I received an email from pair.com support re: the MySQL problems on
geeklog.net:

The site's currently running on MySQL 3.23.56. What would make more
sense: Going the small step to 3.23.58 or the bigger step to 4.0.whatever
(4.0.16, I think, is the current version)?
