Has anybody added information like the below to the Geeklog
documentation? If not, I would be glad to write up a few paragraphs to
this effect.

A paragraph like this would make a great addition to the documentation,
as it pertains to remote authentication. There could be a little bit
entitled 'MIGRATING TO A REMOTE AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM', containing,
among other things, a paragraph very much like yours below.

Yes, as I stated on another thread, I would expect people to do that
with LDAP. Auth on install as Admin, then an LDAP user, then make that
first LDAP user r00t then disable local logins...
