IIS does this. Because it thinks it's being helpful. It does posher
error handling automatically to 'help' out.

You can re-configure it on a per-virtual directory or site basis to do
what you want exactly.

Then on top of THAT you GET IE showing 'friendly' HTTP errors to users
when the server HAD told them exactly what did go wrong.

It's such fun supporting an IIS hosted app to IE users...
