Okay, so we're slightly behind schedule (what else is new?) ...

I was thinking 1.7.0rc1 this coming weekend and the final version a week
later.

From what I can see, the only remaining issue is

i.e. Ben's suggested changes to the Links and Calendar plugins to
support CAPTCHAs. Is somebody looking into those?

Other than that, new and updated language files are still welcome. As is
more testing, especially for Postgres and MS SQL installs.
