[geeklog-devel] Wiki site

I've upgraded the test/new wiki to latest MediaWiki 1.19.2 (the
existing site runs 1.13.2 which was released in 2009). This solved
the 500 error for my account, hopefully also for others.

Clearly I still need to tweak some settings.

There is a fair amount of functionality change since the 2009 release.
For example, Special:AllPages no longer just shows all pages, one must
first pick a range.

I noticed some issues with the upgrade that seem to be tied to the content.

1. The Google Summer of Code trademark symbol broke the page display on:

http://gwiki.thatlinuxbox.com/index.php/Google_Summer_of_Code

I edited out the TM character to make the page content display. I'm
not sure of the source of this character issue (OS, Apache, or
database?).

2. Some articles were created with raw HTML rather than wikitext. The
most notable thing that breaks from this are HTML anchor tags. I
think it would be best to edit these stories with wikitext rather than
allowing raw HTML. Example of a particularly heinous amount of editing
that would be required:

Comments appreciated.

I'm sleepy and my eyes hurt. Be back at it sometime this weekend I think.
