Okay,
I've decided that 1.3.10 will be released without PDF support. The code
is still in CVS, I've only removed the config.php options and
pdfgenerator.php will not be in the release.
So this leaves two open items:
1) The language files.
I have scripts to sync the other languages with english.php, so that's
easily done. I was only waiting for the last changes.
2) The logo.
Simon made a new logo, but it's currently a PNG using alpha transparency.
Does anyone have a hack for IE to display those that actually works?
I'm trying to get this release out this coming weekend (as a Release
Candidate).
Maybe we can follow this up in the not too distant future with a 1.3.11
that includes PDF conversion (yeah, I know, I say that after every
release ...).
bye, Dirk

Damn, the subject had me thinking PDF is out! The *other* out, ie,
"Yahoo, it's out!"

I could make one that has a frayed edge and gif transparency but I was
hoping to provide something more dynamic that could just sit there
independently of whatever the background colour was set to.
Anyhow, I thought I had the IE issue resolved but it seems broke again.
Here's hoping someone with greater kungfu can resolve the issue.
You can also look/download the new logo here:
http://www.karbonized.com/geeklog/
As more time is freed up in the near future I hope to create alternate
logo's with various colours etc.
Sincerely,
Simon

I tried to open the PSD in Photoshop to take a look at making a PNG
that works properly. Unfortunately, the PSD file I opened contains no
layers?
Do you have a PSD with a transparent background and layers?

The PNG's I am looking at work properly on IE 6.0.2
Anyone have 5, 5.5, or Mac IE able to take a look?
I resized a few, zipped them up:

Well, it certainly helps if you have the pngfix.js in the correct
directory (or fix your path to it). Thanks, Justin ...
Problem solved.

Justin,

In MacIE, I can't use the drop-down menu (nothing happens when I select
another color). But it did display the logo correctly on my test page,
even without the pngfix.js in place, so it looks like MacIE 5.2.3 does
have proper PNG support ...

Hehe. I've been sitting here smoking weed wondering why it works on my

Yeah whoops. I just fixed that and uploaded a new "newlogo.zip" file
containing the PSD with layers. Sorry about that.

Semi-proper; try to open one in a new window via the contextual menu
:). They only display as long as there's other HTML content on the
page. There's a fix, documented on my site some time ago:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20020327093859941
Of course, my current poll also shows all of 16 out of 1742 respondents
using it, so I wouldn't lose any sleep over this one!

Can set whatever color you want like:
