Interesting.

I've started a discussion about this on a German search engine news
group, and the suggestions so far are:
- send a 301 instead
- send a 303 instead
- exclude portal.php from being spidered by adding it to the robots.txt
Somehow, sending a 301 sounds wrong to me. I'm now using a 303 on the
site in question and will keep an eye on Google's and Googlebot's reactions.
Other experiments are also welcome ...
bye, Dirk
