[geeklog-users] "Admin" folder is missing....

That should work (I prefer "tar xfz geeklog-1.3.9sr1.tar.gz", but that
shouldn't make a difference).

The "admin" folder is inside the public_html directory. Maybe you weren't
expecting it there?
