[geeklog-users] Looking for Model / Workflow Documentation and FCKeditor

Hi all,

I used Geeklog a long time ago (like 5 or more years ago), and have
just come back to working on a site that I believe Geeklog will be
pretty well suited for. However, I'm having some issues bridging some
of the information about the system that is available with my needs.
What I am really looking for is a body of documentation that is more
geared towards the administrator that needs to design a workflow for
usage of the system.

For example (however this is possibly a bit simplistic), I need to
configure the system to allow for four different groups of users:
admins, editors (those writing / editing stories, static pages, etc.),
contributers (authenticated users submitting story suggestions or
ideas), general users (authenticated users who comment), and general
public (ie, un-authenticated).

What I am looking for is some kind of documentation that walks through
setting up a group, and applying it through out the whole system - ie,
what menus each group see, which blocks each group sees, which
administrative actions each group can perform, etc.

I thought in the distant past I had seen some documentation along these
lines. However, now I appear to only be seeing more technical
documentation that describes each of the individual features, it's
options, etc, and not something that really goes into the overall model
/ workflow. Does something like this exist and I'm just not finding it?
(I honestly feel like I'm on the verge of remembering stuff, I just
need a refresher to jog the latent synapses...<g>).

Also, I got pretty confused trying to understand what the current
status of integrating a visual editor into the site is. I seem to
understand there are some issues with CKEditor / CKImage...but is there
another solution, and is there a single, cohesive document on setting it
up with 1.8.1 (or a recent version of Geeklog that's close enough).

Thanks for any pointers in advance.

George
