Happy December Whitman Democrats!

We will be holding a short meeting on Wednesday December 12th at 5:30 pm
at Pete's Bar and Grill on Bishop Blvd followed by an informal Holiday
Party. Every one is invited to drop by and join the festivities.

In other news Nathan Weller, Whitman County Democrats endorsed candidate
for Pullman City Council Ward 2, was declared the winner of his election
today after his opponent, Al Sorensen, conceded. This morning was a hand
recount of the ballots for the election and although Sorensen conceded
before the recount was completed the unofficial result of the recount
was Weller 280, Sorensen 266. Congratulations Nathan!

Finally, Jake and Gina Degraaff, the Whitman County Democrats Vice-Chair
and Secretary, will be leaving Pullman this month for Seattle. Their
resignations will become formal at our meeting next week. Elections for
a new Vice-Chair and Secretary will be at our January meeting. If you
are interested in stepping up for either of these positions please
contact Carolyn Cress at (509) 334-0999 or ccress at pullman.com
