I was actually thinking about releasing it in parallel with a first 1.5

The changes are documented here:

Since it's a pretty conservative list of changes it could be released
any day, i.e. with minimal or no testing. Many of these changes are
already in use on one site or another.

Upgrading from 1.4.1 should also be straightforward, as there are no
changes in the database, the themes, or the language files.

Who says I want to take the pressure off 1.5? We need to release this
thing sooner rather than later.
