Okay, a wiki update should be done on this as well to let Plugin authors
know about it.

Okay it's good to know you have been testing it with a private plugin along
with the other testing and work done with it on the SOCNet project.  If no
one has any problems with this then and if I can get it by Saturday I will
apply the patch for 1.8.0.
