Actually, I wonder what the supposed "upgrade" was, since both Apache
1.3.22 and PHP 4.1.2 are far from being up-to-date versions ...

The PHP developers originally announced Apache 2 compatibility for PHP
4.3. However, it's still marked as being "experimental" in the
documentation for PHP 4.3. I haven't tested it myself, but from what I've
heard, Apache 2 and PHP 4.3 seem to work okay in most cases, especially
when PHP is using the CGI interface (i.e. is not used as an Apache module).
